Created to celebrate the 35th Fèis Ìle in 2020, this limited edition whisky has been finished in Madeira casks for 3 years creating a sweet dram with notes of figs, vanilla, cinnamon and marmalade.
Description
Distilled on the 24th of October, 2002, this delicious limited edition whisky was first matured in whisky refill casks before being transferred to Madeira hogsheads on the 9th of June, 2016, to finish for three years.
Matured at the distillery on Islay, this whisky is natural colour and non-chillfiltered.
Tasting Notes
Colour:Burnished copper.
Nose:Sweet ripe figs, creamy berries and orange marmalade with hints of nutmeg.
Palate:A layered complexity of sweet vanilla, caramelized fruit and rich spicy cinnamon packed with raisings and hints of dry oak.
Finish:
A dry but warm finish, fading into a lingering sweet marmalade finish.
