Glengoyne The Teapot Dram Batch 7 Single Malt Whisky

From Master of Malt

Glengoyne's Teapot Dram is on its seventh batch! This expression harks back to the days of yore, when workers at the distillery would receive three drams of whisky a day, which would be served from a copper teapot. The whisky wouldn't be taken from an old cask, which if why this expression is a deliberately young and bold whisky that was matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. 3,993 bottles were produced for this batch.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Big helpings of chocolate digestive biscuit and rum-soaked raisins, with a kick of nutmeg hiding in there too.

Palate: Zingy citrus peels, hefty cinnamon and ginger, crunchy brown sugar.

Finish: Continued orange and lemon, plus some toasted teacake warmth.
