The Speyside Distillery launched a revamped SPEY core range in early 2025 and one of the highlights is the beautiful SPEY 15 Year Old. A ripe and rich single malt Scotch whisky, it was aged initially in bourbon casks and then finished in sherry casks.
Nose The sweet fragrance of pear intertwines with a honeyed aroma, accompanied by floral notes of lavender and dried heather. After a while, hints of Crème brûlée, stewed plum, and wood smoke emerge.
Palate Almond and hazelnut, complemented by ripe bramble jam and sugary custard.
Finish A lingering oily sensation remains on the tongue, warm and persistent.

These new core range offerings were released in early 2025, as of writing, there is no mention on the official website, nor do they appear on the Snug online store.
