This is the third edition of Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction, a single malt fully matured in American oak sherry casks. It takes six years to produce these special casks, first, oak grown in North America is transported to Spain and cut into staves that are allowed to air dry in the warm Mediterranean climate. After the coopers have assembled and toasted the casks, they're seasoned with oloroso sherry before finally making their way to Tamdhu to mature its single malt, resulting in a rich, fruity profile that's brimming with layers of honeycomb and mellow oak.
